Details

Shrink-N-Shield® (3:1) offers shielding for wires and cables from EMI, RFI and EMF.

Shrink-N-Shield® (3:1) is an EMI shielding heat-shrink tubing that has a 3:1 shrink ratio and can be cut to length. The flexible, flame-retardant and self-extinguishing polyolefin sleeve can withstand temperatures up to 275°F (135°C). Additionally, the jacketing has excellent abrasion, chemical, fluid and fungus resistance.

There are two standard shielding cloths available for Shrink-N-Shield® (3:1): Z-3250-CN and Z-7200-C. However, other EMI-shielding cloths are available upon request.

The Z-3250-CN shielding cloth is made of a taffeta fabric that is plated with copper and then nickel for excellent corrosion protection. The lightweight, flexible shielding cloth will not flake or deteriorate over time, so you can be confident your components will have long-lasting protection against EMI, RFI, and EMF.

The Z-7200-C shielding cloth is made of a copper-plated nylon ripstop fabric and a proprietary corrosion and fray-resistant coating. The halogen-free, nickel-free, and hypoallergenic cloth is ideal for applications that have such requirements. The 7200 cloth is the perfect choice for applications dealing with sensitive magnetic instrumentation.

Shrink-N-Shield® (3:1) is offered in diameters from 0.375” to 2” with custom sizes available upon request, and has an operational temperature range of -40°F to 275°F (-40°C to 121°C).

If you require a 2:1 or 4:1 shrink ratio, Zippertubing® offers Shrink-N-Shield® (2:1) and Shrink-N-Shield® (4:1), and if you have components with diameters as small as 0.015”, Shrink-N-Shield® (Nano) is also available for your EMI shielding heat-shrink needs.

If your application is more suited to a wrap-around heat-shrink tubing for ease of installation, PRT® (S-3250) and PRT® (S-7200) are the solutions. Both standard products offer EMI shielding and can easily wrap around your wires or cables, rather than having to pull them through. If required, other EMI-shielding fabrics are available for PRT® upon request.

*Class III polyolefin heat-shrink tubing is available upon request.
