  • Wrap-around heat shrink paired with water blocking adhesive provides superior protection for wires and cables
  • Long-lasting and environmentally durable seal holds up against fluids, oils, greases, mild acids and alkalis
  • Installation requires no disconnection or downtime

Shrink-N-Repair® (ES-HT) is a high-temperature, wrap-around heat shrink solution featuring a 2:1 shrink ratio. Engineered to withstand demanding environments, it is flame-retardant, abrasion-resistant, chemical-resistant, and RoHS compliant. The addition of Z-Block® water-blocking adhesive ensures a durable environmental seal, effectively protecting cables and wires from water, oils, greases, mild acids, and alkalis.

Ideal for automotive and outdoor applications—including boat trailers, ATVs, and off-road vehicles—Shrink-N-Repair® (ES-HT) is designed for quick, tool-free installation without the need to disconnect components. Simply cut to length, wrap around the damaged area, and apply heat. The paper-backed adhesive liner simplifies positioning and application.

Suitable for cable diameters up to 1.0", Shrink-N-Repair® (ES-HT) is an effective solution for repairing, resealing, or rejacketing wires and cables that cannot be easily disassembled. Operating temperature range: -67°F to 275°F (–55°C to 135°C).

Q:  Are longer lengths of Shrink-N-Repair available?

A:  Yes! Custom lengths of up to 50 feet can be available. Please contact our customer service team for assistance in ordering longer lengths.

Q: Can Shrink‑N‑Repair be installed without removing connectors?

A: Yes. Unlike traditional heat shrink tubing, Shrink‑N‑Repair can be installed over existing cables and wire harnesses without disconnecting connectors or terminating hardware.

Q:  Do you have any tips for installation?

A:  Please reference our installation guides and videos for step-by-step instructions and useful tips.  Installing Shrink-N-Repair is very different than installing traditional shrink tubing.

Q: What type of heat source should I use?

A:  A heat gun with a reducing nozzle is recommended for the best results.  A nozzle is not necessary, but we find it very helpful when controlling how the heat applied to the tubing.

Q: Does Shrink‑N‑Repair form a waterproof seal?

A: When properly installed, the adhesive liner helps create a moisture-resistant seal around the cable. The level of environmental protection will depend on the cable geometry, installation quality, and operating environment. For the best environmental seal, make sure to use Shrink-N-Repair (ES-HT), which includes a hot melt adhesive layer.

Q:  My installation is larger than 2.0”, can I still use Shrink-N-Repair?

A:  Yes.  For large diameter wires, Shrink-N-Repair products can still be used.  One option is to not fully recover the tubing and stop shrinking once it is tight onto your cable.  As long as the installation will not be exposed to high temperatures during operation (that could further the shrinking process) this can be a suitable solution.  Alternatively, our Link-N-Shrink products may be a better option for very large cables.
