Overview

  • A flame-retardant jacketing material that is also fungus resistant
  • Excellent in abrasion, environmental, chemical and electrical protection properties
  • Because of its NON-PVC properties is perfect for nuclear, aerospace and military applications

Similar to our very popular PFR-18 jacketing material, PFR-10 offers the same attributes excluding its thickness. This material is .010" thick which provides even more flexibility than the PFR-18 material. PFR-10 is an extremely flexible, flame-retardant polyether urethane material that has a soft rubber-like texture and feel. The material does have some give, which gives it some stretch and perfect for form fit applications. The material is perfect for demanding environments where ruggedness, resistance to abrasion and most fluids is a requirement.

The PFR materials have been utilized in the nuclear, aerospace and military applications for many years because it is a NON-PVC material, and it meets MIL-I-3930/21 specifications. The PFR jacketing materials are polyether based polyurethane films that meet the MIL-C27072, MIL-C-13777 and MIL-I-3930/21 for electrical cable insulation. The materials are fungus resistant per MIL-STD-810, flame retardant to specification UL94 V-O and is not only heat sealable using Zippertubing's RF Welding machine, but can be sewn, attach hook-and-loop, our track closures also using the PFR material, a zipper with pre-installed EMI shielding and so much more!
