Heat-Wrap® (ALS-5) is a wrap-around, thermal protective solution for components that need protection and a barrier from high temperature damage and abrasion. The ALS-5 jacketing is made of a woven glass fiber with a reflective aluminum surface on one side. The ALS-5 heat-shielding material is lightweight and thin at only 0.006” thick, making it the ideal choice for smaller component diameters. This jacketing is also SAE tested for automotive applications, fluid resistant and flame retardant. The ALS-5 jacketing has an operational temperature range of -58°F to 300°F (-50°C to 150°C).

Heat-Wrap® (ALS-5) has a high-temperature, acrylic adhesive closure that has a high bond strength. Additionally, the adhesive has a paper release liner for clean and easy application.

Heat-Wrap® (ALS-5) is engineered for component diameters ranging from 0.25” to 1”, with custom sizes available upon request.

Heat-Wrap® is also available with our ALP-500 heat-shielding jacket for applications with larger diameters and require a more rigid jacketing material with the best abrasion resistance.
