Zippertubing Part Marking and Custom Printing Options

Part marking and custom printing are a practical way to enhance product identification, traceability, and brand recognition. Adding logos, serial numbers, or color-coded markings can help users quickly identify the correct part during installation or maintenance, support inventory management, and reinforce your company’s branding. Whether for internal tracking or customer-facing presentation, printed markings turn a functional component into a clearly defined, professional product.

Zippertubing offers four primary methods for adding printed information—such as part markings, branding, or custom artwork—to our products, allowing you to choose the best option based on your specific needs and application.

THE OPTIONS:

UV Ink Printer
UV INK PRINTING: This method uses an ink printer to apply UV-cured ink to the material, offering unlimited color options, full-color designs, and flexible print sizing—perfect for detailed branding, artwork, or part identification.
Pad Printer
PAD PRINTING: This method uses a pad stamp and a reservoir of white or black ink to quickly apply part markings. While it enables high-speed production, it is limited to a 5” by 2” print area, and each variation in design requires custom tooling.
Hot Stamp Printing
HOT STAMP: This method utilizes a combination of specialty inks and clear film to apply either a solid white or metallic-colored print, with a maximum print area of 4.75" by 1.2". While text-only prints can be adjusted as needed, artwork or logos require custom tooling.
Heat Transfer Printing
HEAT TRANSFER: This method is intended for woven materials and transfers the label onto the material by applying heat to activate the adhesive, followed by pressure to ensure proper bonding before removing the liner. It supports full-color digital prints with a maximum width of 24 inches and unlimited length. However, due to the time-consuming application process, it is not well-suited for high-volume production.
Which option is best for your application?
UV Icon
UV INK PRINTING: UV ink printing is ideal for applications that require large-format prints, full-color designs, or detailed branding, making it our top recommendation for logos and artwork. This method is compatible with most Zippertubing materials.
Pad Icon
PAD PRINTING: This method is best suited for applications that require the repeated placement of logos or branding at regular intervals along the length of a spooled part.
Hot Stamp Icon
HOT STAMP: This method is similar to the pad printing however it allows for variation in text, which makes it better suited than pad printing for parts that require serialization.
Heat Transfer Icon
HEAT TRANSFER: This method is great for woven materials where full color printing is required.
