How to Choose the Appropriate Heat-Reflect Material

Heat Reflect is a specialized range of materials offered by Zippertubing, primarily composed of fiberglass coated with aluminum foil on one side.

This unique construction allows these materials to withstand higher operating temperatures compared to standard plastics and fabrics. Designed to reflect radiant heat and provide effective insulation, Heat Reflect materials are ideal for applications requiring both heat resistance and thermal protection. The table below details key attributes such as operating temperature, flexibility, thickness, and other relevant information to help you select the most suitable material for your specific needs.

Materials withstand high temps, reflect heat, and provide insulation. Details on temp, flexibility, thickness, and more

Authors Note

While Heat Reflect materials offer a degree of insulation, they are best suited for applications where radiant heat reflection is the primary concern. For long-term or high-temperature exposure, multi-layer insulation is recommended as it provides superior protection and insulation under prolonged conditions.
