PVDF
A flame-retardant, abrasion-resistant, chemical-resistant, fluoropolymer film jacketing.
Overview
- Highly chemical and abrasion resistant
- Flame retardant; UL94, V-0
- UV resistant
PVDF is made from a polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) thermoplastic fluoropolymer film material. This material has good flexibility and provides a secondary jacketing around insulated electrical wires, cables and hoses. The jacketing is flame retardant and meets UL94, V-0 requirements. PVDF is highly resistant to chemicals, fluids and abrasion. The UV resistant material can be used for our Zip-On (PVDF), which is the ideal solution for heavy-duty applications. PVDF can also be RF welded to other polymer tracks or films and holds up to a wide operational temperature range of -33°F to 302°F (-36°C to 150°C). PVDF is recognized commercially under several brand names including KF, Hylar, Solef and Kynar.
