Shrink-N-Shield® (PTFE) is the ideal heat shrink tubing for environments exposed to extreme temperatures and applications needing protection from chemicals and abrasion.
Shrink-N-Shield® (PTFE) is an EMI shielding heat-shrink tubing paired with PTFE material. PTFE is a clear, Teflon, flame-retardant, abrasion-resistant, and chemically inert heat shrink that can be used in a variety of applications. This electrical insulation tubing is a highly flexible yet durable material, and with its broad operational temperature range, PTFE can be used in extreme conditions. PTFE is military-grade and conforms to the requirements of SAE-AMS-DTL-23053/12 Class 5.
PTFE is available in 2:1 and 4:1 heat shrink ratios, and can be used in multiple configurations. A perfect example is our Shrink-N-Shield® (Nano) 4:1, which provides 360° of EMI shielding and abrasion protection to wires as small as 0.015” in diameter.
Shrink-N-Shield® (PTFE) comes standard with the Z-3250-CN shielding cloth. However, other EMI-shielding materials are available upon request.
The Z-3250-CN shielding cloth is made of a taffeta fabric plated with copper and nickel for excellent corrosion protection. The lightweight, flexible shielding cloth will not flake or deteriorate over time, so you can be confident your components will have long-lasting protection against EMI, RFI, and EMF.
Shrink-N-Shield® (PTFE) is offered in standard diameters from 0.1875” to 1.25” with custom sizes, and EMI shielding materials available upon request. The product has an operational temperature range of -40°F to 250°F (-40°C to 121°C).
