Details

For applications desiring an EMI shielding solution that can move and flex without compromising the protection, Hook-N-Shield® (Trevira) is the ideal solution.

Hook-N-Shield® (Trevira) is a flexible EMI shielding solution equipped with a Velcro® closure for quick and easy installation. The Trevira jacketing is RoHS compliant, self-extinguishing per FMVSS 302 and DIN 75200, meets ASTM E 662 for smoke generation and Bombardier SMP 800-C for toxic gas generation. The jacketing is UV and ozone stabilized, as well as contains no halogen or cadmium. This material is engineered for applications with stringent requirements and restrictions that demand a lightweight, flexible solution.

The Z-3250-CN shielding cloth is a polyester taffeta fabric that has a nickel-over-copper coating to provide excellent corrosion resistance. This cloth provides better EMI shielding to protect components from compromising interference. An optional tin-plated braided wire is sewn into the solution for grounding capabilities.

The Velcro® is an Aramid hook-and-loop closure that meets specification GSA A-A-55126, Type I, Class 2 and is flame retardant. This closure system requires no tools for installation. The Velcro® is sewn to the Trevira jacketing with a Kevlar thread for a strong, long-lasting bond of materials.

Hook-N-Shield® (Trevira) is offered for diameters ranging from 0.5” to 4”, with custom shapes and sizes available upon request. The operational temperature range is -40°F to 250°F (-40°C to 121°C).

Benefits

  • Jacketing is best for applications that require flexibility and need a lightweight material
  • Velcro® is sewn to jacketing with durable Kevlar thread
  • Shielding fabric protects from EMI, RFI, and EMF

Features

  • Halogen-free and cadmium-free material for applications with such restrictions
  • Meets ASTM E 662 for smoke generation and Bombardier SMP 800-C for toxic gas generation
  • Operational temperature range of -40°F to 250°F (-40°C to 121°C)
