Thermoplastic Hot-Melt Adhesive Tape
Z-Block Tape is a Polyamide hot-melt adhesive designed to “water block” electrical wire and cables that utilize a secondary heat shrinkable outer jacket. The adhesive is compatible with high performance, heat shrink tubing materials such as Polyolefin, Viton and Flouroelastomers plus Copper and Aluminum metal substrates. When used in conjunction with Zippertubing's PRT tubing it allows the user to make environmentally sealed field repairs without having to disconnect or disassemble the wire harness end components. Z-Block Tape is available in spool form, or it can be included with PRT repair tubing in kit form. This material has an operational temperature range of -55 to 135ºC.
