Premium 63-20 PVC Cover with SH1 EMI Shield, R-Track Closure
Shielded Connector Covers consist of a .020" thick high temperature PVC jacket (Mil-I-631D, Type F, Form S, Grade C, Class 1) laminated to an SH1 Aluminum foil EMI shield, with a 15 AWG drain wire and an R-Track thumb pressure closure. The covers come in five standard trapezoidal shapes that are intended to enclose and EMI harden a mated connector pair. When used in conjunction with Zippertubing’s SH1-63-20 cable jacketing they can create a fully EMI hardened cable assembly. The connector cover may also be cut to form tapered cone shapes that can carry the EMI shield over a connector mated to bulkhead or panel. The SH1 EMI shield provides excellent shielding performance. The covers are flame retardant (UL224, VW-1), have good fluid resistance properties and have an operating temperature range of -20 to 105ºC.

SLR Slider
The SLR tool is an inexpensive metal ring slider designed for closing Zippertubing R-Track products. It is ideal for both production line and field installations. The R-Track closure mechanism can be closed manually using thumb pressure in most flat ribbon cable applications. However, use of the SLR tool makes closing long cable runs easier, eliminates operator fatigue and minimizes sore fingers. The SLR tool is best suited for R-Track jackets which are to be installed on round wire and cable bundles. Round cable bundles do not provide the operator with a solid surface to apply thumb pressure like flat cables do. Track closure is achieved by inserting the upper and lower halves of the R-Track interlock into the tool and then pulling the tool down the cable run. The tool will form the jacket around the cable, snap the interlock together and close the tubing. The SLR tool functions in a similar fashion to the SLM tool.
